TWO is live

Today, the TWO docs editor is finally live.

That's the whole announcement. Everything else in this post is just detail. But since you're here, let's talk about what TWO is, why it exists, and what you get on day one.

Two docs. One screen.

TWO started from a simple frustration: writing and thinking rarely happen in one document. You're drafting something while referencing your notes. You're comparing two versions of the same idea.

You're moving between a plan and the thing the plan is about. Most editors treat this as an edge case: tab switching, second windows, copy-paste. We think it's the default case, so we built the editor around it.

Split-view is TWO's core interaction: two documents, side by side, in one window. Everything else in the app is built to support that.

What's in the MVP for now?

We kept scope tight on purpose. No feature creep. Just the tools that make split-view actually useful day to day.

  • Split-view & tabs: Open any two documents side by side. Tabs let you keep more open and switch fast without losing your place.

  • Templates: Start from a blank page or a template built for the way you already work.

  • Live sync: Changes sync in real time, across every device you use.

  • Shared workspaces: Bring in collaborators without the overhead of a full team tool. TWO stays fast whether you're working alone or with a few other people.

  • Linked docs & notes: Connect documents directly, so related work stays related — not scattered across folders.

  • Activity logbook: A running record of what changed and when, so you're never guessing what happened to a document while you were away.

  • Version history: Every document keeps a history you can step back through, with retention that scales with your plan.

To provide a better experience for users and creators, we added a Studio:

A separate space for visual thinking. Wall boards for pinning and arranging ideas on a bounded corkboard, and Canvas boards for open-ended, pan-and-zoom thinking. Studio is TWO's answer to the moments when a document isn't the right shape for the idea yet.

Pricing

TWO is free to start, with a 14-day trial and no credit card required. Pro is $6/month, or $5/month billed annually.

And because you're here for the launch, we're opening a limited number of Founding Member spots:

A one-time $49 that gets you Pro, for life, no subscription. There are 500 spots, then they're gone.

No per-seat pricing, ever. TWO charges for the product, not for how many people you invite into it.

All pricing details can be found here.

What's next?

The web app is where TWO lives today, but it isn't where it ends. We're already building a native Mac app, and iPad is where we see TWO eventually becoming what it's meant to be: a fast, focused, split-view editor that feels like it belongs on the device you're using.

For now: try TWO, tell us what's missing, and thanks for being early. Feel free to send us feedback at hey@two.so
